A Fun Day in the Stamp Room

I had a Wonderful Day today, got caught up on alot of stamping and swaps. A few of us stampers in my area get together every month and stamp and share ideas. Our next month get together we were given a challenge. It was to decorate a tiny post it note. She mentioned doing something other then a match book. So this is what I came up with: This is the size of an ATC

2 1/2 by 3 1/2. The bottom half flips open to reveal the post it note. With a calendar on top the picture uploaded a little blurry.

This is the other post it note holder, more in the shape of a pack of gum. Which I thought would be perfect with a pack of gum in it for the kids to take to school as a Valentine's treat. I may be making more of these. My 5 year old will need to take treats to school. Let me know what you think of these.

I also had time to make up some more ATC's for swaps. I used the Bridal Bella with a rose for a rose swap on Split coast stampers

This is an ATC I created for my pals that I swap with every month. It is a small calendar with the saying "Take time to smell the dewdrops on the flowers" Just something I typed up. I thought my pals will enjoy having a calendar set up for the year to enjoy.

Happy New Year! Be Safe!

Christmas Gifts and ATC's

How is every one in Blog Land? Did we all have a great Christmas?

I had a wonderful Christmas. I received a sizzix, with 12 die cuts and an alphabet set. Soo much Fun! It was something I wanted and had to order myself to make sure I got what I wanted HAHA!

My husband did go out and get me two bamboo cutting boards a small one and a large one, along with a new frying pan. Which was also a few things that I wanted for the kitchen. He also got me three new sets of clear rubber stamps. I will try to post pictures later. My Lovely mom gave me a new House Mouse stamp and a carry and go ribbon case because she knows I have an addiction to ribbon.

From my secret sister I received a cigar box, undecorated, so I can't wait to decorate that! Inside was a moose and bear stamp, along with ribbon, stampin up ink pad, and a box filled with chocolates. And three tag christmas cards. A wonderful surprise just before Christmas.

This is an ATC I made a while back. It is stamped with Stamps by Judith. Obviously the camera shot is not the best.

My mom and I joined an ATC

House Mouse swap on split coast stampers, where we had to use a certain House Mouse and incorporate it into something else and this is what my mom came up with. She sprinkled glitter all around the globe to make it look like a real snow globe and that is a real picture she took of her home while it was snowing. This picture does it no good it is totally a neat idea! I had to share with you!

This is what I was able to come up with, not quite as neat as the snow globe, but still pretty creative. I needed some more inspiration before I worked on this. But what canI say!

Blog Candy at DeStampinCorner

There is blog candy give away at http://destampincorner.blogspot.com/ Go and check it out! I recently found her blog through Angelosity! Also a wonderful blogger athttp://angelosity.blogspot.com/ go and check her out too. They both do wonderful work!

I have been very busy trying to work and get ready for Christmas. My lovely Husband helped me out and wrapped all of Santa's presents for the boys and hid them in our closet. Well the oldest boy told me last night that there were presents in my closet just fo him and that they should be under the tree. So Santa presents were spotted. Darn now where am I going to hide them. Any way we are going to have to rewrap with different paper and hope he understands to stay out of mommy's room. So that Santa can still bring them. I think we will take them to the neighbors house for hiding.

We have 4 inches of snow on the ground and it is pretty! Wish I could stay home and stamp but I have to get to work. Have a great Day!

This second picture is the bottom half of our tree where we have a train trck set up under the tree and a train goes around and around, gives the boys something to watch. In this picture you can only see the track, there is a toy semi tracker trailer sitting in front of the tree. This is also my brother in law and my son playing horses.
For some reason I cannot find a picture of the full tree I may have to get back to you on this one. This will be alot of fun to see other people's Christmas Ideas. Well I am off tko work now. Have a Great Day!

School Candy Bags

Dallas's Birthday Treat Bags!

I was cleaning things up and just realized that I did not post the Birthday Bags I made up filled with candy. The bear is an unknown stamp, the balloons and hats are stampin up. My mom punched out the Happy Birthday Balloons on her sizzix. I stamped the Happy Birthday Saying on them, a stamp also from stampin up. Then there is also spots of confetti stamped all over them. For added color, another unknown stamp. Dallas had alot of fun passing out his Birthday Treat bags. I had a lot of fun making them. There was 19 bags all together.

Don't forget to check out my Envelope swap at the Split Coast Stampers. Under cards. It is not going as well as I expected it too. Maybe it is because my numbers are too low and I am too new. Just trying to make myself feel better.

My Crafting Room

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving was wonderful. We went to my grandmother in-laws house. She was going to keep things simple this year and she did not. She cooked way too much food. So of course we stuffed ourselves and then sat around all afternoon talking. The day went by fast, the boys were really good and didn't get into too much stuff that they were not suppose to. We got home around 10 p.m. it was after 11 when we got everyone settled in bed. Then we were up at 4a.m. to hit the Black Friday sales. I swear I will never do that again. We went to several different places looking for a bigger ticketed item for a christmas gift for a relative. (If I say it will give the suprise away) But we got what we wanted and din't get pushed and shoved too bad. We survived!

Well I have been busy making ATC's for swaps that I have joined. Also working on the Birthday boxes for Dallas's birhtday on Saturday. He has to take treats to school on friday. I have also been working on Christmas gifts and cards. And I have not taken pictures of any of my work lately but I did get some pictures of my crafting area. This is a set of drawers my husband created for me to stroe my rubber stamps in. I have two sets of these drawers full of rubber stamps.

This is my crafting area. The cupboards hanging on the wall to the right is full of paper and envelopes and accesories. As well as the cupboards down below the counter. The cupboard to the left holds all my stampin up stamp sets and my unmounted rubber stamps. I just learned to store my acrylic unmounted rubber stamps in Cd cases. Soooo much easier to use and keep organized. So I am trying to convert them all to acylic cushion and get them put into cd cases. Lots of fun!
I am having my son Dallas's Birthday Party this weekend but on sunday I will try to get some pictures taken of the things I have been working on. Have a great week!

It's Monday!

It's monday, I can't wait for Friday. But that is just wishing my life away, terrible. We spent yesterday at my in laws house, my husbands' cousins from Kansas were down for a birthday party and they wanted to see us. It was great to see everyone again, it had only been 10 years. Amazing how some people change and some people don't. Everyone's children were adorable and well behaved. Dallas and Denver had fun playing with all the kids. There was six children there. Haille, Hannah, Taylor, Olivia, Natalie and Kenny, Beautiful children.

This weekend my mo is coming up to Fremont again and we are going to spend the day stamping at our friends house. Yeah another stamping day! My oldest boy is having his 5th Birthday on Dec 1. I am trying to make 20 small cardstock boxes. Or I guess you could call them the goodie bags. The only problem I am having trouble deciding what to put in them. I was thinking a rice Krispie bar, but I was hoping to put something more in them but they are small, nothing to big. This is what the bag looks like, this is the sample bag.

The Birthday bag is going to be yellow with ballons stamped all over it. With a rainbow ribbon. I will post a picture when I see finish them all.

I have been working on cards for swaping this month as well I made 2 of these little Winter cards. i am not sure who the stamp is made by but I printed the saying aff the computer. I love the striped ribbon in red and off white, Very Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas, Did I mention that we put up or Christmas light all ready? Yep we had 70 degree weather last week, so my husband climbed the house and we hung our light. We do not have them on yet, but after Thanksgiving we will. We usually put up our tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. So if I can just hold off my husband and kids another week we will be in good shape. Otherwise I get tired of fighting the cats off the tree, they just love to play with the ornaments. All though my husband has rearranged the living room to make room for the Christmas Tree. So he is getting anxious.
Well, I have to get to work. And I just realized we are out of Mountain Dew, so I have to hit a gas station before I go so I'll blog again soon. Have a Great Day!

Halloween!

Hello I hope everyone had a good Halloween! Our boys have been sick with Croup. They sound like seals when they cough or try to talk. So we put out costumes on and only hit family and friends homes that had given us permission to stop by, and were told of our situation. I am not sure what Croup is exactly but it sounds terrible. Not only the name but the boys sound terrible too.

This is all of my boys on Halloween. This is the second time Dad has dressed up as Spiderman. Denver was scared to death of Spiderman this year, screamed at first then he got used to it. Two years is a wonderful age they are so much fun with the learning and investigating.

last weekend I had a get together with my mom and a friend and we had a stamping time. We had a wonderful time! Learned a few things from each other and got to share our stamps and tricks. We are going to do it again next month, at Stephanie's house. Hopefully we will be able to find more people to join in our fun as time goes on. we made the nugget boxes and stamped them up, Using the Stampin up Halloween stamps form this year. We used glittery nail polish to add some sparkle to the boxes. You cannot see it in the picture but it is there. I made two of these boxes for my oldest sons preschool teachers, they loved them. We also wrapped decorated paper around the candy bars. This is a wonderful idea, after the candy is gone you can put pencils and pens in the box. Can't wait for Christmas. What a busy week. I have been spending alot of time in my crafting room. Drives my husband crazy! Not spending enough time with him. i'll post more again soon.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!

My RAK

Good Evening All!

I received a special package today when I got home from work which was wonderful after a busy Monday at work! I joined JT's monthly -Aloha Rak club for the month of October. http://www.expressivelyme.blogspot.com/ So far it has been a lot of fun and I am looking forward to doing it again next month.
For some reason this picture has a blurp on it, I am not sure what happened but you can still see what is all there. This wonderful gift came from Amy, who must know me in some strange way, because I a LOVE ribbon and she sent a bunch of it. There is a wonderful Halloween card, A Nebraska mini license plate, purple brads, and a package of M&M's. Thank you so much, this is so awesome and just what I needed after a Monday at work.

Well I hope every one had a successful weekend and got everything done that they needed. And of coarse got some stamping done. I am working on converting my unmounted stamps that were attached to magnets to the acrylic foam. Which seems to be working alot better then the magnet. But I ran out of acrylic foam so now I have to get a hold of my mom to buy some more. My mom sells The Angel Company stamps and can get me this stuff at her costs. Which helps because then I have more money to buy more stamps. I also got my room organized a little better for my friends to come over and stamp on Saturday. I can't wait! I gave them all the Black and White Christmas card challenge to try and I have a small gift for them to enjoy for participating. Then we are going to work on Christmas cards. I need to get some of those made up before I get waaaaaaay to behind. Should be Fun! Have a great evening!

Halloween Card!

Kind of a lazy day at my house today! My husband is watching Football. The Broncos are not on until 8 o'clock tonight. So he has to watch all the other football games first. Which is ok we have other tv's to watch but iti gives me time to stamp. I made 16 of these for pals that I usually trade ATC with and when I was finishing up the envelopes I realized this would be a good card to send as my entry in Tracy's Happy Place Disney/ Hawaii contest http://http//tracyshappyplace.blogspot.com/.

This is the front of the card. Pretty simple, but I love these pooh and tigger and piglet stamps. I have had these stamps for many many years. One of the first set of stamps I bought when I first started stamping back in 1990. I was like 15 years old then. Oops I just gave my age away. Any way! The cat in the lower right corner is a paper punch, punched out for a little bit more color on the front.

This is the inside of the card. I cross stitched the skeleton on black canvas and then the pumpkin and hat are stampin up bitty boo retired set. I am not sure what the other stamps are from. The skeleton is an ATC tucked inside the card. I love this card design, I usually stick a gift card where the ATC is and use this as a gift card holder for birthdays and Christmas or just because. I got the idea from Serta. They sent us a thank you card for purchasing our new mattress set and where the ATC/gift card is tucked, serta had tucked their business card. I had to go immediately to my craft room and stamp out my own design of it.

Well I think it is time I get off of this thing! I need to go organize my stamping room, I have some friends coming over next weekend to have a stamping day! So I want things to be organized and I want to take pictures of my area so I can post my stamping area here. I also signed up for a card swap on Split Coast Stampers ( http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287837) and I need to get those started. Check it out and join we are in need of swappers. It is looking a little lonely. There are tons of things to learn and great friendly people to meet. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Thank you Allsion for offer ing this challenge. I have to admit this was a challenge for me. I really had to think outside the box. When I think of Christmas I think warm thoughts of color, lots of color. Reds, greens, etc so this was alot of fun.

My Halloween Scrapbook

Hello
How is everyone today? It has been dark and rainy for the last week. I have a ton of leaves in my yard and even though there has been no sunshine my grass is getting long. Will it ever stop raining? I should not complain this is my favorite time of year, as the leaves change, cooler weather, snow about to settle in. I can bunker down in my house as it snows and blows outside and do my crafting. I love it!

This weekend I worked on scrapbooking my children's Halloween pictures from last year! Yeah I know better late then never. I used paper sacks. Which I have been told I cut the wrong end off of the sacks, but it still seems to have worked pretty good to me.

Hello Everyone! I finally took some pictures of my stamping projects. I started out with a project I found by Maria. (Thank you Maria for the Inspiration) I have tucked 6 sheets of paper and 3 envelopes inside. This project is a great deal of fun and could be used for any occasion. I think I am going to send this as a RAK to some one. I used a retired Stampin up set that I purchased at a Garage Sale for a great deal. I just love Garage Sales!

Last night it stormed like crazy. About 3 a.m. the thunder and lightening came in and woke me up, then I heard a thud out side and thought the tree in our front yard came crashing through the side of our house. But when I looked out side there was nothing. Later on in the morning our neighbor rang our bell and asked if we needed help putting the gutter back on our house. Half of our gutter was hanging loosely off our house. Scary! So we pulled out the ladders and screwed it back up to the house. Thank goodness it had stopped raining and is just cold and wet right now.
