Scrapbooking!

Well it is monday again. On Saturday I went to the Scrapbook Mania, with a friend and my mom. Got me scrapbooking again but this time using color pages. Before I always scrapbooked using white card stock and my pictures with embellishments. I still use 8x11 pages. Just can't seem to get into the 12x12 pages. Too big for me yet! Any way this is a treat box I made and decorated to take chocolate kisses and minitures in. Everybody loved it! The little chihuahua cupid came from a Valentine card my mother in law gave me. It was pop dotted on the face of the card, so I pulled it off and cut out the chihuahua that was behind it and then I had one for each side.

Denver is two years old all ready but I have not had time to get started on his baby book so I took all his first year pictures with me, and got a pretty good start on that. Here are a few of the pages I completed. Now keep in mind I am not a pro at this. Still have a lot to learn.

This is one of my favorites, so precious with the older brother giving the baby brother a kiss! Any way, yesterday a was surfing Craigs List and found a posting for sizzix dies. So I got to take a car ride and buy some dies. I got 10 dies for 20 dollars. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I got hearts, pumpkin, angel, snowflake, christmas light bulb, and ornament, and others I don't need to bore you with you will see them in my work as time goes on.
I also worked on inchies this weekend. My friend had received an inchie that was a popout inchie in a library card envelope just a little bigger then the inchie so I had to case that. then I had a few other ideas pop in to my head and I'll post those tomorrow. Have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
This is the Valentine I am giving my husband this morning! Something short and sweet. We do not normally exchange cards or gifts for Valentines day! But when I received these images in a image swap. I knew I had to make my husband a card!
This is a Valentine card I made for mt secret sister. I made her some Frog coasters, as her gift. She loves frogs, unfortunately I did not get a picture of the coasters before I mailed them too her! Bummer!
These are the peek a boo boxes that I made for my older son to take to school as treats. I filled them chocolate heart candy and a heart eraser. Also put in some foam heart stickers! They were alot of fun to decorate.
I hope all my readers have a wonderful Valentine and get all the love you can handle.... and more!

Couple of Cards!

This weekend we took a lazy weekend. Which we needed desperately, however my house looks like a tornado hit it. We helped out some friends and did a little babysitting over night, we had three extra kids all under the age 10. WOW! What a mess 5 kids can make. But we all had fun! I did get some stamping done. I even got a few things cleaned up in the crafting room. I am working on unmounting my stamps so I ran through about 3 sheets of EZ Mounting foam (which does not take long) then called and ordered 10 more sheets of ez mount. SO I am anxious to receive those! I am out and I was on a roll. Unmounted stamps are just too easy to use, and take up so little space.

Any way the top card here is the use of Pink. I think I used every shade of pink I had. The stamo set is called Groovey Girls by The Angel Company! The flowers under the girl spell out Groovy just a little hard to see it in the picture.

With this card I used my sizzix alphabet. I was a little disappointed with the lettering set. I have to actual piece all the letters together and pray I get them straight to just use the letters, otherwise I have to use them stenciled out like I have here. So if anyone out there has a fun alphabet set they are willing to sale reasonabley cheap. (under 40.00) Give me holler! I'm in search of another alphabet set for my sizzix. The penguin is a stampin up stamp. Pretty simple card but alot of fun to do!
Have a wonderful week! I orked on Valentine cards this weekend too, but I have to get to work now. I'll post them later!

Peek A Boo!

Last night my youngest boy Denver (he is 2 years old) was playing around before bed time. So I wanted to share with you what a ham bone he can be! You can never have enough videos or pictures of you children.

The last time my mom came up to visit with me she brought up a bunch of her house mouse stamps and we sat and stamped out each others stamps. So I have been working on coloring some of those for Valentine cards. Nothing done yet. I am still working on the boxes for Dallas's school treats. I have them all cut out and just need to glue them and add embelishments. I am trying to keep it simple. But I have been joining image swaps and ATC swaps through SCS. So that to is keeping me busy!

There is still time to join the decorated envelope swap! I could use two more people to join the Hallmark sized envelopes if you are interested. Sign up is by Feb 10th don't wait too long!

Have a Great Day!

Dallas and Denver! Watching Spongebob!

Another ATC

Here is another ATC I have been working on! These were pretty easy and didn't take much time to make. I made 11 of these to share with my pals. Winnie the Pooh is a paper punched on a scrap piece of paper and the top is torn off with a fold. The flower was punched out with a sizzix machine in white paper, and I used ink pad to color it pink and a blue brad in the middle. The saying was stamped on white paper and the edges also torn. It was alot of fun to create!
Have a Great Day!
It is snowing here suppose to snow most of the day with 2-4 inches expected.

It's Monday!

Hello Floks today is monday and many of us are heading off to work. I know that I am. I have a full week ahead of me. We normally have every other friday off but this month the boss is making us work our friday off and giving us a four day weekend at the end of the month. Which stinks right now but come the 4 day weekend and it will be awesome! I spent much of yesterday sorting out valentine images and taking them to the PO. Gals that is over with. It was alot of fun and alot of different images to color. I also worked on ATC's for some swaps and for my pals that I send out monthly ATC's to. This ATC idea was taken from http://paperiini.blogspot.com/ . She inspired me to use this stamp set. So today I have been working on Valentine ATC's this Valentine truck took up a great deal of time. This is the stampin up loads of love truck stamped on pink cardstock. Using marvy matchables ink. The hearts was stamped on a designer paper so that I didn't have to color each and every heart. I used a corner rounder with the heart on it for all the corners. Iused a gel pen to color the hub caps and fenders. Prisma colored pencils for the tires and girl. I made 20 of these, well I am in the process of making 20. They are all put together just need to color about 15 more of them. It got to be too late and needed to get to bed.
I did get to spend the day with my mom on friday! We sat around and talked and stamped and shared ideas. She brought me some new House Mouse stamps,I am anxious to play with those. I also got to stamp out some of her stamps so that I have some things to color. I am getting addicted to stamping. It's all I think about.

I also made a Valentine card for a Secret sister!
When I stickered the heart on it I didn't realize everyone was going to read it as such "I hugs you"! It was intended to read "I love you" or "I heart you" but i guess "I hugs you" works too, since we are distant friends.

Well I hope every one has a wonderful Monday! And the weather
gets better for everyone. It can't snow for ever. Can it? We received another inch of the white stuff yesterday! Burr! Hard to think spring cards and flowers or even Easter when it is snowing outside.

I am doing an Easter image swap now on Split Coast stampers. Check it out can be alot of fun shareing your stamped images with other people. It is in the products and images thread.
