Graduation Card

Just a quick blog here before I head out to hit a garage sale before I go to work. I went to Minnesota this last weekend for my cousins graduation! She had a wonderful turn out, ove 200 people were invited and I think at least that many people showed up! Any way I created this graduation card for her as part of her gift. The inside sentiment came from MamaRocks. And I can finally post these cards because she reads my blog from time to time I didn't want to spoil the fun!
This is the front Opens to look like this with a tag that pulls out for the check or cash to sit in.

This is also what I gave her, Thank you cards to Thank a few of her guest for the gifts and for coming to the graduation open house. With coordinating envelopes!

Now I am off the garage sale. I only have an hour before I have to get to work so it will be short lived. But it is still fun to get a bargain!

Going on Vacation! Receipe Cards

I recently joined a chocolate receipe swap and this is what I came up with! Sweet and to the point. I just bought this little House Mouse baker. I think she is a lot of fun! Of course the receipe is short and sweet too, litterally sweet but so easy to make and so good. You'll have to try it! This is my first receipe card, not sure if there is suppose to be more on a receipe card or not.

I am heading to Minnesota for the weekend. My cousin is graduating from High School, and I am going up to help her celebrate, and eat the cake! HAHA! I will be staying at my grandfathers house in Richmond and the graduation is in the Twin Cities! Can't wait, I am so excited I am not a bit tired! The car is all packed except for the cooler, need drinks for the drive! I also baked a loaf of Banana Bread for my grandpa, and a batch of peanut butter Fudge... as shown here... my 2nd receipe card also for a swap! I like the looks of this one better then the first one however they are both good! My grandmother passed away 3 years ago and grandpa doesn't get a lot of homebaked goodies, so when I see him I always like to bring a little something special. My sister who is 27 is also going to stay at grandpas's house is bringing up rice krispie Bars, and stuff for smores. So we'll enjoy a cold one while the kids roast marshmallows. As little kids we always went to grandpa's house for vacations so this is going to be like old times, playing cards until the wee hours of the morning and fishing! Can't wait too excited to excited. I better go take something to help me sleep or I'll never survive the drive. Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Thank You Card

I used regular card stock in red ran it through my sizzix in a cuttle bug embossing folder. Punched some holes for the ribbon, and printed the saying off on the computer. All punches used were stampin up! the flower brad is from Michaels, and the flower punch is stapmin up! Really easy, really fast card! Pretty simple but alot of fun and easy!

I am off to bed so this is a quick post. Try to post again tomorrow! I am hoping for a lazy day!

Finished Desk and Sympathy cards

A friend of mine lost her dad yesterday! So I headed off the crafting room and made 2 sympathy cards! One for my friend and one for her mom! The card on the left was made with Chocolate chip card stock from stampin up and the card on the right is barely banana. I love that shade of yellow!

As promised this is the finished desk! It really isn't fair that I took a previous picture of the desk with no drawers but you get the idea. I always forget to get before shots and remember half way through to take pictures. But it turned out really great! I am very happy with the finished look. So is my son!

Gruffies!

It is a Gruffies Weekend for me! I bought these stamps a few weeks ago and finally got around to stamping them, and coloring them! Seems I can buy stamps faster then I can stamp them and create them. One is called Buried in Paper work, the other one is Full of Truffles or Chocolate Truffles, I'm not sure! But these were alot of fun to play with.

I have also been working on the desk for my oldest son. I got it all scrapped and sanded down and last night I was putting the second coat of stain and sealer on it and the wind came up and down poured on us. I just barely made it into the garage with the desk and drawers when the sprinkles came, followed very quickly with the down pour. So lucky me I saved my hard work. I had to cover the pool in the rain and put away all the kids toys. The storm came up faster then I was paying attention too. We got lots of rain and thunder boomers.
I am heading outside now to sand down the sealer and put the drawer handles on, drag it into the house and start using it. I will post a finished picture tomorrow!

Being Creative

Wow it has been a while since I have posted a blog. I haven't sold any of the stamp sets yet, they are going to be heading onto craigs List or E-bay soon! I have been very creative lately, got my creative mojo going again. Yeah, makes me very happy! So lets see a picture right? This first card is a card I created with a cuttlebug embossing folder on yellow paper and smeared on the swirls is pink ink. I printed the sentiment off the computer. Inside I stamped Happy Mother's day! And gave it to my mom for mother's day! She loved it!
This next one I created using my new The Angel Company stamp set. Happy Cow or something like that! I love this little cow, she is so cute. This card idea came from Tracy check her out at Tracy's Happy Place!
This is a picture of an old teacher's desk that my mother in Law gave me. This desk has been stored in an unfinished garage for 2 years and then spent a week outside in the hot sun and rain. Until she told me about it and I rescued it. It has 3 layers of paint, white, green, and red, then a layer of laquer. I am crapping the paint off it and sanding it down to restain it to a wood finish. Or at least that is my plan, we'll see. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of it right away, so this is half cleaned up all ready! This will be my 5 year olds desk when it is complete. I'll blog another picture when I am done!
It has been doing alot of rain and high winds here! Our camp site, where we keep and use our camper lost all power two weeks ago, the high winds knocked our power pole over and come to find out it is our responsiblity to higher an electrician to give us power again not the utility company! This was memorial weekend, and we were all prepared to camp all weekend and live it up. Then last weekend we went out there and we could not even get to our camper, the road and all was flodded in water. As far as we can tell there is no water in the camper, but all the rail road ties we had, and all the children's toys that sat out in the sand box are all washed away! So I have a reason to hit the garage sales to find more toys for the children to play with out there. Well we are also considering selling the land and the camper and be done with all the work and stress of hte up keep. Flooding is the worst!

Well I hope every one is haveing a wonderful start to their summer! I am off to create some more. I have inchies to make! I started a Year of inchies swap on SCS, as well as a Cow card swap! Come and join the fun! My Chocolate swap was a huge hit, had about 20 swappers join, and received alot of fun chocolate ideas. My Alphabet inchie swap is coming to a close as well. If you haven't checked out Split Coast Stampers yet, you must go! GO NOW! It is so inspiring!
